Water Pump

Going through possible problems with my temp issue, I was looking at the water pump and a possible issue. If that is the issue, are there other recomended things that should be replaced while the water pump is out? Truck has 109k miles

Only 109k on the water pump. my 94 has 321k on it and its the original

Ended up being the head gasket.

Why are you so sure it's the head gasket? Did those mechanics purge ALL the air out of the system, or did they just road test it and observe the temp gage?

First place stated the smell of fuel in the coolant. Thinking about it, the second place I asked they give me a second opinion on a bad head gasket. So i guess I kinda put that isea in their head. I am thinking of taking it to the Ford dealership, play like it hasn't been looked at yet and see what they say
