Water pump removal on 1994 2.3

To get to the water pump, the outer timing belt cover has to be removed. Does the crank pulley have to come off first? Or can the timing belt cover be moved out of the way without messing with that?

I just stripped a 94 complete engine...

You shouldn't have to remove the crank pulley for that...the outer timing cover maybe..i can't remember...

I just did mine, 94 even.

remove the acc belt, and i believe thats all.

in order to remove the timing cover you have to remove the power steering pump bracket and a bunch of other stuff.... I just broke mine off and left it off lol.
