My problem started really all of a sudden on monday when on my way to work my powersteering pump belt just kickd off so i just took the belt of it was ruffled a lil bit an threw it back in the bronco an went on to work an bought me a new belt that night.
well on tuesday it workd find on my way to work but on the way home it kickd off again an this time it kicked the alt belt off an it caused it to get hot was how i found out. so i just put the alt belt back on an ran it all week like that till i could get me a new pump cause i thought it was going bad..
so it turnd out i had an extra good pump we just took off my brothers race truck.
i swapped out the pulleys an put it on first start up it turnd the belt sideways so i fixed it back made sure it was tight an tried it again an it done it all over again..so by now i started looking an found that the water pump pulleys were out about a 3/8ths of a inch further out from the pulleys on the crank...the power steering pump pulley is right on with the crank pulleys tho so im wondering if any one has had any problems like this before...
This right here has me stumped could it be the water pump going out?

If it's doing it with two different pumps, how is the alignment against the actual accessories and the w/p pulley? I would start to think maybe something funny is going with the balancer. But sounds pretty strange, here's a pic of mine:

well pete after comparing your pictures to my bronco. an talking to one of my mechanic buddys at work it appears that my water pump pulleys have moved out 3/8ths of an inch they way my buddy described it was that the the the shaft had came loose from the impeller and was fixing to come out an i needed to replace the water pump.
Thanks for your pics they assured me he was right an im going to tear into tomorrow nite.

well after pulling it all apart tonite it turns out it was my water pump. the impellar has slid forward about 3/8ths of an inch cause all my problems!

That's pretty interesting. Thanks for the update, and glad it was something simple!
