Long story short I got stuck on my side with the creek bank holding me up and had water just about to the bottom of my window and now there is water in my door. I looked for a drain plug and thought I had one, but when I took it off it was just a nut on a bolt. Ideas?

Drill a drain hole at the bottom of the door where it curves.

There are drain holes in the bottom of your doors. They look like slots in the metal on the bottom of the door near the outside skin. Moisture is expected to get in the door and the door is designed to drain it out the bottom. Dirt often plugs the drains, put a wire in the drains when you locate them.

Mine are filled with some spray on stuff like under coating or sound deading stuff. since it is not a show truck (or it wouldnt be in a creek up to the window) just drill some holes in the bottom of the door, just make sure most of the water is out so you wont get electrocuted.

Just drill some holes bud. I have a 53 Ford F100 and every time I wash it, it gets water down in the doors. I drilled some holes in the doors so it would drain out. I just open the door and ride up my road so the water can drain out. If you want a picture I can take one.

yeah, drilling holes would work...but you might want to have the doors oiled with that rust proof stuff or you may find they rot out faster than a one-winged bird flies in a circle...
