The other night, my poor 2000 Ranger broke down on the highway, with what I believed to be a blown radiator. The temp gauge however, stayed right i the middle the whole time, which I thought to be strange. Me and my dad filled the rad back up and limped it off the interstate to a parking lot a couple miles down. Whenever I came to a stop, the truck shook violently. After about an hour, we returned to the parking lot with a trailer, and the truck wouldn't start back up. Upon getting it home, we've discovered water in at least one cylinder, and the truck still refuses to start.

Could it be a blown headgasket, or worse? Any other ideas? Thanks!

Probably a blown head gasket. Take the head off on that side and have a look in the cylinder.
