Washer coil spacers for a 98?

So ive seen threads about the washer coil spacer and have been very excited to do it, not remembering that the rangers that i have seen this done to were older rangers than my 98. The older ranger springs seem to come to a tighter coil at the bottoms while mine seem to stay the same width all the way down. Now i have a 98 ford ranger xlt 4.0 and i was wondering if the steel washers is still a possibility or if its a lost cause?

orielly's and autozone have coil spacers that slide right into your springs? I ran them for a while and got about 1.5" of lift and they only cost me $12

Yes to that....
You will be happy with a spacer made the right safe way. You can buy them on Ebay as well. The ride will be smooth. You can also buy taller coils as I did and enjoy a great ride.
Remember if you lift it to have the alignment checked to make sure you did not alter it. Sometimes, even with a 2 inch lift it can throw off the alignment.
