bought truck with automatic transmission that was no good. scored a 5-speed from a 2007 ranger.
having read through a ton of threads, i believe the couple of minor issues i'm having will be resolved by getting the correct pcm for this application.
however, i took a look at rockautos' catalog and there seems to be a bit too much for me to decode and figure out what i can use.
the 8 available pcms are:
7-55 F
7-55 H
7-55 R
7-55 S
7-56 F
7-56 H
7-56 R
7-56 S
which of these would be correct for:
1997
3.0
egr
5-speed manual from 2007
?
is any more information needed from me to make a choice?
