That being said, how is everyone going to prepare for post-Apocalyptic transportation?

I'm having a hard time deciding between my Ranger and my Explorer. The Ranger is probably better offroad, which may become very important. Explorer is more comfortable for sleeping in, which may become necessary and is more powerful but is much less fuel efficient, which also will become important with dwindling fuel supplies. I wish I had a turbodiesel with mechanical direct injection, this would open my options for fuel and there is probably a better stash of diesel around these parts with all the farmers and such.

Body armor will probably also be important, as well as bulletproofing the drivetrain by upgrading as many components as possible in the limited time I have available, remember I still have to go to work until the Apocalypse.

So, what's everyone else going to do to prepare?
