Warner 1354 Transfer Case

I am looking at picking up a manual transfer case and I was wondering if the four wheel drive switch needed to be plugged in for it to work or is it just a sensor that tells you if your transfer case is in 4x4 mode?

If you talking about the plug on the manual transfer case it is just for the 4x4 dash lights. Nothing else. Doesnt need to be hooked up for it to work.
