What is the deal with putting bigger tires on the ranger in regards to waranty? can you put 32s or 33s on and maintain the waranty, or will ford say that it is void because of the bigger tires.
thanks
I've heard it go both ways... I think it may depend on the actual dealer.
FWIW, I had 32x11.50s on stock rims on my '94 4x4 and didn't have an issue with warranty on a couple drivetrain/suspension related issues that came up.
They can't deny warranty on , say a failed power mirror or leaking fuel injector on larger tires. If you need 2 outer tie rod ends within 20 000km, they MAY give you a hard time.
Talk to your local dealer. The dealer I go to didn't have a prob with me putting on bigger tires. They actually told me to put on bigger tires and lift it. If your really that worried, stay stock.
They can only deny the warranty if the mods you did have a direct effect on that part that needs replacing, say you lift your truck and you crack a head due to overheating, they can't deny fixing the blown head cuz you put a lift on the truck, now if you broke a crossmember or a control arm then they can give you a hard time
