VW AAZ Engine adaptor Plates

Do the adapter plates for an Alh/Ahu engine fit an AAZ? From what I’ve read the bellhousing pattern is the same, but how about the crank bolt pattern? I want to 1.9 swap my ranger using a gm 700r4, and there is an adapter kit for the alh/ahu to the 700r4. Will it fit the older mechanical injection engine? I don’t want to deal with the electronically controlled pump, neither do I want swap the pump. Thanks
