Vote vote vote

Like i told my grandmother. "Which crook and lying millionaire should I vote for?" I don't vote because no matter how you put it they are all the same-Democratic or Republican. That is the number one reason why government sucks; each party is looking our for their own instead of the country. They are too busy to out the other party to look at what the country needs. They are too busy filling their pockets, giving there self raises and shit instead of looking our for jobs, etc...

In my young life I have seen it too many times. Every election, its the same thing. "I promise to reduce taxes, reform health care, look out for the everyday American." Every year its the same ol shit, taxes go up, health care gets more expensive and the government finds more ways to dig into my pocket. IT doesn't matter who's in power or who you vote for, its gonna be the same.

It doesn't matter if I vote or not, I still have a right to complain, because it goes back to my original theory. I refuse to vote for a crook and ALL of them are crooks. Its just down to which will take less our of your pocket

Quote for truth.

This thread makes me want to go pound my head against some thing hard...

Superman, if you really do believe all that you've been spewing, maybe we don't need your vote anyway.

Yes, way back when, the North was Republican and the South was Democrat. But the defining characteristics of each party has changed over time - in fact those who held conservative values were once known as *drumroll* Democrats. So over time the party lines have actually changed to a complete 180* around the party names. Of course, if public schools would actually TEACH instead of BRAINWASH, more people would be better educated on things like HISTORY. But I digress...

Yes, we are forced to vote between the lesser of two evils anymore, and we largely have ourselves to blame for it. We are stuck with a two-party system and it takes the PEOPLE to change that. We are forced to vote typically for Washington Fat Cats who make millions and spend their life in politics. That wasn't how this country was founded. The PEOPLE were supposed to elect PEOPLE from their area that they thought would best serve the COUNTRY to office. The people who were elected were supposed to represent the interests of their constituents AND the interests of the country. They were supposed to serve their term, and return home and go back to WORK! Not live their life playing Washington politics and building lavish retirements. Public office was never supposed to be an all-expenses paid way to get rich and powerful. Elected officials were never supposed to get a retirement out of the deal, they were supposed to go back home to work at whatever job they left to go to Washington.

These greedy power-hungry people we have living on the taxpayer's dime need to be thrown out of office. Every last one of them. The way our government was designed, we can do it without going to Washington as part of a lynch mob - all we have to do is VOTE. If you don't like the choices for this election, still vote for the best option. And try to find a better candidate for next election to try to vote in. Too many people in this country either do not vote because of the misconception that "my vote woln't count," or they just pull the lever for whoever is in the party they are registered for because "it really doesn't matter." That is something the mass media and our current crop of government officials would love for a lot of people to believe - so they get voted back in, but it's FALSE! You don't have to be rich and famous to be elected, you just have to have the backing of the people. I know that there is one woman who is running for election this time around who simply did not have the finances to straight up fight the incumbent, but she got endorsed by the Tea Party movement and the people in her district. In an overwhelming show of support, over ONE MILLION DOLLARS was donated to her election campaign by people across the country.

Hell, maybe I should run for office, my grandfather did.

Yees the choices are very distasteful in some cases and in other cases there is an easy choice! If we don't try we will get noware. It is kind fo helping out someone and helping UP someone, I'm all for helping up, not out.

We need to vote for our choice not party!

Back then people used to hang if they did wrong.

That's what needs to happen.

It's like our prison system. Have all of these child molestors and rapist or drug dealers go in and they basically get fed and lay down and sleep. They basically have it easy..YET we pay for them.

I say hang more people in the public to make a point...if not people are going to commit more crimes because they know they will just go to jail and lay around and do nothing and still peddle drugs out.

I voted. Not crazy about any of the canidates in NH.

What's even worse is that because NH gets TV channels out of Mass and Vermont as well, I get to see all the back stabbing & negative ads in FOUR states (the VT station also covers upstate NY), so I get to see all the backstabbing :bsflag: ads from NH, Mass, VT, and NY!!!

Thank god it's over!!!

I say just let it be over. I'm tired of being woken up and hearing their remember to vote for him reminder calls. So damn it, let me sleep during the day and I won't vote against you. If they are Dem., they are already screwed. Just that one Democrat screwed the US pretty good, no reason to have more of them do the same.

on the subject of hanging... I agree for child molesters/rapists and criminals.

for politicians, we need to bring back the "Tar and Feather" punishment. it will make a public spectacle of the person and be painful at the same time. everyone who voted for the abortion known as Obamacare needs this punishment. anyone who votes for cap and trade needs this punishment. you can insert any number of horrible laws that our government wants to dump on us that make no sense and are just stupid. Start enacting smart laws, and then only if necessary. we don't really need any more crap laws in place.

Hey, I can finally agree with something you said!

Sometimes people just don't agree and sometimes they do. TO EACH HIS OWN.

Most of my views...people don't agree with....I'll just keep em to myself though. :icon_thumby:

And I respect them even if I don't agree. At the very least, I'll be informed about both sides of the issue.

To reference southpark, it all comes down to whether you want a douche bag or a turd sandwich. and im off to the polls........

Today I might not be able to vote Obama out of office, but moments ago, I did vote to lessen the power of the socialist/marxist progressives who seem hell-bent on turning this country into to a welfare state where every man, woman, and child relies upon the government for their sustenance; where a small group of elites steadily takes power away from the individual citizen under the guise of redistributive fairness and equality.

No where in the minds of the Founding Father's did they ever envision a United States of America where this slow usurpation of power would be tolerated or even welcomed. America was founded on the notion that an individual should have liberty and freedom and a small, limited government would sufficient to protect that freedom from threat. Somewhere, we have been led astray.

Let today be the first phase in a long campaign to restore the health and prosperity of our great nation. November 2012 will be the next, followed by the repeal of Obamacare and the enactment of real health care reform, a balanced-budget amendment, entitlement reform, illegal immigration reform, and beyond.

Maybe only then we will have a country worthy of handing down to our next generation.
