Well its meant to only be used for pro however you can install on home edition. the only issue will be a warning "Host OS not supported" but it will work
3 ways to do this.......
use virtual box
use VMWare
and use virtual PC from microsoft
virtual box and virtual PC are both free to use
VMWare is a very good program but it cost money unless you know how to use torrents.
Virtual PC is available from microsofts website for free but doenst work that well
Virtual box works well and is free and a best bet if you cant get VMWare
to use install Virtual software and then install the OS or program you want to install (in ISO form or from CD)
keep in mind that a virtual machine/pc it is the same as running a brand new computer and will need drivers and software loaded as if it was a seperate machine
hope this helps

Virtual Box from Sum Microsystems(Java) Is what I use. love works Great! Free easy to use, No instructions need Google Virtualbox DL and it basically walks you through the setup.
if you know someone who goes to special schools...i go to International Business College....they can get copies of VMWare for free. it has all the licenses and stuff to it too. I just got Win7 pro from my school for free.
