My 94 4.0 5spd 4x4 has a vibration from 25MPH up to, well, lets say "over the speed limit" The vibration is worst between 30 and 40MPH and it doesnt matter what gear your in. I replaced the carrier bearing and put in a used T-Case and i didnt have it before that. I think that the carrier is out of alignment:icon_confused:. Is there a way to make sure that the bearing is centered?
(and no im not putting in a 1 piece D-Shaft yet)
Thanks

Make sure it is properly phased after replacing carrier bearing........this is critical and get it rebalanced. Prolly got a bad u-joint too if the carrier is shot. Check your driveshaft angles with a protractor yet?

u joints are fine. and i havent checked the D-shaft angle. i didnt see a reason to?:icon_confused:

Try greasing them and see if it helps....maybe on thier way out.

I had a 88 ranger that i changed the Carrier bearing in,when i put the drive shaft back in
i had a vibration because i didn't mark the shaft the way it came off the truck when i
split the two sections. i do believe they are balanced together.

Yes, the whole driveshaft is balanced as one unit....otherwise it WILL vibrate.

have fun not destroying that u-joint taking it out. i've done it, but it ain't my first choice of how to spend an hour.
