Hey all,
I recently bought a 2003 Ranger XLT 4x4 and I have noticed a vibration coming from somewhere over 65 MPH. Its not a horrible vibration, but very noticeable. I took it back to the dealer yesterday and they balanced all 4 wheels and greased the driveshaft splines. It helped some, but its still there. I checked the U joints and there isn't any slop or play in them. Could my driveshaft be out of balance? Anyone have any ideas?:dunno:

Thanks!
Matt

Im having a similar problems with my 2002 4x4 XLT supercab. I just put on new tires, had them balanced, and had the front end aligned to no avail. It also makes a humming noise that increases until about 40, which could be just the AT tires I put on. Regardless, mine seems to be coming from the front driver side. Im going to check the brakes this weekend, and also take off the driveshaft to see if that might just be out of balance. Other than that Im not sure what else it could be, and am not sure if it is normal for a ranger or not. Im interested to see what other responses you come up with.
