Verizon sucks nuts.

When I was with Alltel, I paid a flat monthly fee with no limits.

Verizon took over Alltel.

Verizon allows me 5gigs (5120 megabytes) of transfer for $60.00 a month.

They just billed me for $174.00 because I went over and used 7274 megabytes.

This next bill is going to be higher because I'm already at 7900 megabytes and have 2.5 days left to go.

I NEED A BETTER INTERNET SERVICE!!!!

do you have that stupid internet that plugs into the usb port? i pay 15 dollars a month for Verizon internet.

Wow. That totally sucks.

I pay 35$ a month for unlimited cable connection. 6megbit down, 1megbit up. Its fast. Comcast.

I may look to see what Directv has.

Need to find out what the termination fee is going to be on the Verizon.

Jim, I never once thought about what this site is costing YOU. My bad!

Where can we go to make donations? :icon_cheers:

Don't worry about it.

My wife and I want to buy a house in the spring and move in to town. Hopefully then I'll be able to get cable and ditch the dish and get my internet that way.

Verizon is costing me $109 more a month for internet access than it did with Alltel. That's just BS. Greedy bastards.

So what your saying Jim, is that if my Alltel switches to Verizon to run, screaming?

I may look to see what Directv has.

Need to find out what the termination fee is going to be on the Verizon.

I got a three-way combo deal with Verizon that covers my phone, the Internets, and Direct TV. All on one bill, I pay about $160 a month. Check Verizon's site and see what they have for you.

i got my internet through alltel and i still get the unlimited because i'm still on contract.

what kind of verizon internet do you have? When verizon fios starts expanding out this way, we plan on switching to it. Cause right now we have hughesnet, and its slow, and where only aloud 500 mbs a day of downloads...so i cant really download anything. That and its $60 a month and apparently when fios comes out here its going to be cheaper, faster, and i keep hearing unlimited downloads...

ive been a verizon customer for like 6 to 8 years, they have been ok, but once i read jims post about altel getting baught out by verizon, i started to notice poor service in my area, and i cannot send text messages anymore ( every time i send one it says it fails), my general approval of the company has gone from alright to just piss poor.

added on to that ive had very bad experiences with verizon since i renewed my contract, i waited 3 hours to get a new phone in a store. and was told they did not have it, so they ordered it from a warehouse, after they ordered it, they found out they did not have it, so
the next best move was to give me one from the store, which they
" did not have " at the start of the conversation,

verizon is a bunch of blunt liars and practice shady business dealings.

my brother also has there internet nonsence with a 5 gig DL/ month rate, after he exceeds it he gets charged something insane like 50 cents per MB!!! insane!!!!

we have qwest dsl and i pay like 25/month and get dl rates of like 180 kbps... its decently cheep.

We've currently got Verizon wireless internet, there's no DSL or cable out here

The 5gb of bandwidth a month is a joke.

I use Cox cable internet services. No limits on bandwidth. Which is a good thing since I may exceed 10Gb + per month. And it costs the family $50 each month. Transfer rates are also super, 1,000+ Kb/s downloads, 200+ Kb/s upload. Cox cable is similar to RoadRunner.

DirecTv offers Wildblue for internet. I hate to break it to you but all of the cell phone companies are evil and shady. AT&T offers the same $60/mo for 5GB as well as Sprint I think.

right now ive got verizon broadband.... course they just came out with it where you dont have to get home phone and it only cost me 30 bucks a month with out a limit... you might check that out jim see if you have it around you
