2.0L ('83-'88) Vapor canister purge valve part number help

Hi all, I have a 1984 2.0l ranger in need of a new canister purge valve. It clicks intermittently after the engine is warmed up. Can someone help me choose the correct one off eBay? I think I understand how the part numbers work, but would like a second opinion. See pics of current valve

and new ebay options. I have a BA so from what I read an AA would not be good to get?

Notice both of your replacement part numbers have "E3" while the original is "E1". More difference there than just the BA and AA. I can't say whether it would work or not. Seems like it would though if the plug is the same.

No need to fret over part numbers here.

Any 12v solenoid valve would work. Just have to save the connector from the old one. and make sure it's the same size fittings.

For reference: E is 80's (F=90's). The 1 is the year of the decade. So 81. 9C915 is a canister purge valve. The last 2 characters are a manufacturing revision of that same part.
Note the year in the part number is just the year that part was designed. NOT the year vehicle it's for. Many mechanical parts for the Ranger were re-used from older models. The 2.0/2.3 engine blocks were almost the same as the ones used in the Pinto years earlier.

How in the world do you know this? - rhetorical question - it just boggles my mind. I spent many years writing catalogs for Ford, scouring through parts manual databases and I can't remember shit.

The knowledge available in this forum continues to amaze me. Even more when that knowledge is shared.
