I got a 94 2.3L and somehow i am getting oil into the throttle body on the air filter side of the system. I think it is somehow coming in through the hole in the bottom of the throttle body that i think is connected to the vapor canister via a hard plastic tube that runs out from under the throttle body and around the intake to the vapor canister. I don't even know exactly what the vapor canister does lol so it may not even be associated with the oil system but could y'all please help me out on this, im trying not to take this thing to the shop cause i like doing things myself. if it helps any i clean probably almost a tablespoon of oil every 4 or 5 days out of the throttle body. as u can probably imagine it runs like crap until i clean it out with carb cleaner every week. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing in the vapor canister that would cause oil to get into your TB. The PCV line, however, is near the same spot if memory serves correct. You may check to see if your PCV valve is working properly.

I'm also going to guess that it's coming from your PCV valve..

There is no oil involved with the vapor canister, just fuel vapors.

thanks for the input guys. I have replaced the pcv valve and that doesnt seem to be it. Me being the curious person i am lol, i took the short rubber tube that runs from the top of the valve cover to the front of the throttle body aloose and drove about an hour or so. I assume this is the breather tube. A heap of oil came out of this tube and got on top of the motor, so i am assuming this might be where its coming from. If im not mistaken there shouldn't be oil coming out of this correct?
