this may seem like a stupid question but I just want to make sure that I can use any valve cover on my 88 2.0 as mine is bent and leaking and I am sick and tired of trying to fix it. also the breather system on that thing SUCKS.it doesn't seal against the cover and the hose going to the air cleaner is a joke.
I would love to get a cover off of a turbo coupe that has the fins but I don't want to spend anymore than I have too.
I want an aluminum cover like the fuel injected ones that will seal up nice. any suggestions on which yr and style to get?:icon_confused:
Thanks
Duane

I looked through the threads to find this out but to no avail.
I think someone said they had done it but I can find that thread again.
also if I can switch covers what gasket do I use? right now I have the one piece neoprene. any help would be appreciated thanks
Duane

I put a VC from a Mustang on mine...more because I didn't like the cap being at the back of the engine and also because the oil cap was the tab type that I didn't think was sealing properly...

The Mustang VC is metal and has the screw in cap...and a separate vent hole for the breather tube and that is also just by the oil cap...I like it better for a number of reasons...didn't find any aluminum covers when I was looking though...

Only problem with these covers that I found is they are flat on the bottom and require a very steady hand and patience to get them to seat properly...I used the rubber gasket and I like them way better than the cork...but they are not re-useable...or limited...better than the cork though...
