93 2wd needs driver side valve cover gasket replaced, is it tough as looked buried with hoses/wires running across front of it

It's not that hard to do, but the average time can vary. Some can do it for less than 3 hours. There are several stuff you have to remove first before installing a new one, like the battery ground cable and intake tube, which takes up most of the time.

Yeh I agree, When I did mine last summer, as well as the lower intake manifold. I think it took me longer to label and disconect everything to make sure I didnt screw anything up than doing it. I think the drivers side isnt as cluttered as the passangers. You will be fine. I cant remember if you need anything more than your basic sockets. I dont think you do, its pretty basic.

if it's set up like a v-6 in a blazer II then 3-4 hours but it's not that bad, just time consuming. basic socket set and some end wrenches and a screw driver

And a rubber mallet and a gasket scraper or razor blade.

And some Brakleen. Maybe a flat surface to pound the sealing surface flat if it isn't.

You do want this thing not to leak when you're done, right?
