Does the valve body separator plate have a certain torque spec.? 99 ranger 3.0L 4r44e transmission. Thanks

There is a spec....no a clue what it is at the moment. I have personally never seen a soul actually torque these things. A firm good and tight with a rachet or speed wrench is good. Don't go crazy and strip out the threads.

89 inch lbs!!! That's the spec on just about all ford valve bodys

Actually.....62 in lbs is the correct torque for that transmission....

cool thanks guys that helps a lot. another question, does the actual valve body have a torque spec?

That would be 89 in lbs

It helps when you access to all the online manuals
