according to Facebook :icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl: there seems to be an issue about white vans. specifically they are apparently the vehicle of choice
for abducting women.. HONEST,,I just read it on the AOL "stupid Headlines" (my term, not theirs)
it's so serious that the mayor of Baltimore made some kind of announcement about not parking near one.

Damn, am I thankful that we have such wonderful sources for useful information.

back to our normal lives now, if there still is a "normal"

My daughters refer to them as "creeper vans"

That’s why I drive a red one...

You would.

Does Dirtman do the navigating?

He’s in the passenger seat asking “Does this rag smell like chloroform?”

Its sad them big vans got that image.

They'll do anything a similar capacity truck will, are cheaper, and have waaaaaaaaaay more cargo room.

I contemplated a V10 E350 for my next tow rig...but the wife said "no youll look like a pedophile"

wait wait wait...you still use AOL?

I miss my van... 1981 chevy g20 windowless white van with duck tape covering the rust holes. It had a bed (old futon mattress), a toilet (large rust hole on the passengers floor), and big padlocks welded on all the doors. I absolutely loved that thing. The engine was an old 67 250 straight six I scrounged up. It had vice grips for door handles and never once passed inspection. I just went back to the DMV every 30 days for a new rejection sticker and another 30 day extension. Did that for 2 years. The guys at the inspection station knew me very well because their eyes would be watering and throats burning before I even turned the corner. Had to get rid of it because I needed more "adult" transportation and didnt have room for it.

I've looked for another one but haven't found one classy enough for my taste.

I had a 94 E150 conversion van at one point. Not quite as nice as the one you had, lmao, but it was cool. Helluva road trip vehicle.

Nutless turd... 302 I assume. My 94 Club Wagon, 351 w/ 3:73 gears was surprisingly quick.

My 250 straight six with a 3 speed took about an hour an a half to reach 65...

I had a Red (but had a white top ;) ) 73 Econoline 300 Cargo "SuperVan" w/ a 300 6cyl. Started out w/ a C6 but something went wrong with that while a cousin and I were trying to make New Orleans for a drilling job in Brazil, circa 1978. We dropped it on side of the highway and got it to a yard, which only had a C4 to fit it, buh bye C6 :/ It was a damm good van, except the C4 didn't have the low 1st gear the C6 had. I'd still had it today had it not been for a scrapper who got in while I was away.

One thing I read, probly in the 80s was likely-hood of getting into a wreck, by color. I can't remember the entire rundown but "most likely" was white, and "least likely" was red ;)

There are probably such a much larger number of white ones(isn't white just the "basic" "stock" color as well?) due to them being a top pick for fleet (hauling, delivery, tool truck, service vehicles etc etc) use, which also get dumped on the open market more often than not

Yeah mine had a 302 with a 3.31. It ran decent once you got up 35mph+, worthless off the line though and got 17.2mpg runnin 75-80 up north.
