vacume modulator?

where is the vacume modulator on 92 ranger 4.0 4by and how hard is it to change out?

It's sort of hidden on the passenger side of the tranny, behind the factory heat shield right beside the catalytic convertors. Kinda hard to see, and to change it you pretty much have to work by "feel". Make sure the plunger is seated properly upon installation.......

A 10mm wrench and some "colorful" language should be all you need.

Do NOT do this while the truck is hot!! Expect to be upset and dirty when your done and make sure the hose is put back on snug.

Most inconvinient 2.5 minutes of your life.
