I need to know where the brake booster vacuum line and the crankcase breather hose connect. Because it has completely slipped my mind and i have no clue where to connect them any longer.. And for refernce i have an 85 2.3 with a 5 speed

The brake booster should connect to an intake manifold tree...you should see a 3/8 opening on there somewhere...and the crankcase breather hose comes up from the canister under the intake to the pcv valve and then into the throttle body (FI) or base of the carb...

The tree on top of the intake has 3 main vacs (the fpr and the lines from the filter box) and one on the side
Would it be the one on the side?

And the bottom of my intake setup has a line for the carbon canister thing and theres one on the very bottom as well

The PCV valve is about the size of a prescription bottle or old roll film holder (a bit bigger and rounder than your thumb...unless you are a gorilla) and sits in a hose that comes up from the block through a canister that plugs into the block...all of this should be on the driver side of the engine...the hose feeds through the intake manifold and that is about where the PCV is plugged in on most 2.3 engines.

There will be a smaller hose from the PCV valve that goes into the throttle body.

The brake booster takes a 3/8" hose usually so the tree with a wider opening (3/8") will be the one to plug it into...are you sure you have a brake booster?

Some earlier Rangers actually didn't have a brake booster...they just had the master sticking out of the firewall...

I think so im not too sure... all i know is theres a vac line coming off of it and i need to plug that in
