How hard is it to swap a set of fox mustang pedals into a ranger To use a cable clutch? I know some one has done it. Or what would be the easyest way to operate the cluch cable or hydralic? Pics would be great. Thanks Jonathan

I believe that it was "Ranger_5.0 (Joe)" had the cable clutch and swaped the fox pedals in his truck. Someone let me know!

Go hydraulic, all you'll need is an adapter fitting for the hyd hose. There's nothing to anchor the cable quadrant to in the engine bay. You'd have to fab that part and take up space in the bay that's best left used for something else. There are lots of external slave kits to use with a T-5, this is the best route.

anyone kno if the stock broncoII or ranger hydralic hose can be used on a T-5? Im talking about if u converted the t-5 to hydraluic.

Here's what one guy did.

"What I did was reused the stock hardline from the Clutch Master and used an 83-84 Ranger V6 external slave cylinder. It wasn't nearly as cheap as the 280zx slave, but it does work quite nicely. All you have to do is fab up a plate to hold the slave to the bell housing & some bolts. You also need a threaded rod to use as a pushrod & some nuts to go on the threaded rod. The 83-84 slave will accept the quick-connect fitting from your stock internal slave cylinder so you can snap your stock hydraulic line onto the slave like it was made for it."

some guy told me they had hydraulic versions of the mustang T-5, 1993 on down. Is this true?

As far as I know the older T5's all had cable clutches. Maybe the 05-07 T5's for the Stangs have hydraulic setups. I know my 06 GT Stang is hydraulic.

:icon_confused:It's not rocket science adapting different hydraulic hoses, just takes a few minutes alone in a parts house fitting bin.:bye:

Hey Jones Ranger, so wjhat did you ever do? I was thinking I have all the parts..pedal assembly cable, adj quadrant, ect..so I am thinking the same thing...why not use all my existing stuff?....what route did you go?
