Hi,

I want to swap the 302 of my f-150 auto 1994, into my ranger 1993 2.3 5 spd.
My question is, it is better to converte my v8 engine to carb or to keep the EFI. But, the problem is I want to convert to 5 spd in my ranger and the ECU is for a auto trans.

Carb vs. FI....thats a personal preference. I personally am doing a carb setup because of simplicity and i like the look. If you go carb you're going to have to buy the whole carb setup(carb, manifold, ignition,...). If you go FI with that F-150 motor i know you'll have to change the upper intake due to its height, other than that im not sure what else you'd have to do to retain the FI.
So your auto trans is computer controlled? I dont know if there were any differences in the motors but I have the ECU to a 87 F-150 5.0 that had a manual transmission if it turns out you can use it. If so just shoot me a PM.
