v8 swap

I have a 2000 xlt with the flex v6 and is gutless. i wanna do a v8 conversion but dont know how to start. any info or advise is appreciated.

click on the TECHNICAL LIBRARY at the top of the page/read a few v-8 swaps to give yourself an idea of what you need to do............read up on swaps in this forum also.......
then when somebody gives you some advice, youll have a good idea of what they're talkin about....

Research, read, research and read more. You're the one's got it to do. All we can do is answer questions that you may not be able to answer yourself from your research. The easiest swap for you will be buying a wrecked 2000-2001 V8 Explorer/Mountaineer and transplanting the drivetrain to your 2000.
