v8 swap into an 84 ranger

As the title states, I am putting an 89 h.o. 5.0 into an 84 ranger 4x4.
I have a c4 already in the truck, and need to know what application has the correct 157 tooth flex plate.
The truck already had a 302 , I belive it was a 1978 engine. And I do have that flex plate .Any help is appreciated.

If you have the original flex plate, mark one of the teeth, and count from there to find which one you have. Odds are its the 157, but count to double check...

I do have a 157 tooth flex plate.my question was , what flex plat will wor km with the 89 engine and the c4 with the 157 tooth flywheel.

My mistake, I must have misread or misunderstood. It should be the 157 as its a small bellhousing...

You will need a 50oz imbalance 157 tooth flywheel to go on the 89 engine.
