I've got a 1998 ford ranger xlt 2wd with a 3.0 v6. im looking to put a v8 into it and it sounds like a 5.0 is the way to go. what else do i need to replace so that my truck stays reliable? about how much is it gonna cost?

i havent either. i've never personally seen one either. i've just read about it on the internet and it sounds like it would be pretty badass. they should come from ford with a b8 option like the explorer. idk why they dont.

yeah chevy offers some sort of v8 in their colorado or whatever they call that thing that replaced the s10

I don't believe the colorado ever got a v8, only the i4 and i5.

For a v8 swap your gonna want a 96 - 98 explorer for the easiest swap. a 99 - 01 will work too but then you have to add the PATS system and get the dealer to do... whatever with it...

it will pretty much cost you whatever you can pic up an explorer with a v8
