V8 conversion transmission help

Currently building a 289 for my 84 ranger. Has anyone successfully installed a 6 speed manual transmission?? What did you use? My truck is lowered on djm beams and rear flip.

I assume no Granny gear for 1st, lol

Tremec T56 6-speed has detachable bellhousing, and you can buy small block Ford bell housing for these

The added 6th speed is a lower ratio overdrive, so it has 2 overdrive gears for top speed
So 1 thru 4 are basically the same as any 5-speed then OD(0.75:1) and OD2(0.50:1)

Early 289's used a 5 bolt bell housing, make sure your block has 6 bolts or life will be more difficult.
