V8 Colorado

[Danger FX4 Ranger]

Last weekend I stoppedy by the Chevy dealership to see the new 09' Colorados. Sitting at the front of the lot was a 5.3 V8 crew cab Colorado. When did Chevy start adding the Silverado motor in the Colorado? Has anyone driven one? I bet that would be fun to drive.

The 2009's have received a face lift, although they still look similar. I'm tempted to test drive one.

I belive this if the first year for the v8 in the Colorado/Canyon. I think that GM is trying to match Dodge with thier Dakota. We actually have a prototype v8 Colorado at my school. That ones a hack job though. It was just made to see how it be I guess. A maunal trans would be nice in that... Ford, taking notes?

As far as I know, they are made by Isuzu...just like the S10s. And yes, they are ugly. They look like the bastard child of a Korean prostitute and a Silverado.

I've seen and sat inside a V8 Canyon. It didn't do anything for me. The dash sort of sits awkwardly low, and the outside looks almost the same. It still has that nasty Wagon-Queen-Family-Truckster front end with the stacked headlights.

Chevy Luv was made by Isuzu for Chevrolet.............same as the Ford Courier was made by Mazda for Ford.

So I guess you'd say that the Ranger is made by Mazda ey?

S10's TTBOMK have NEVER been made by Isuzu........GM built them themselves to compete with the Ranger.............

S-10's were never made by Isuzu. GM made the Isuzu Hombre pickup much like Ford makes the Mazda B Series.

I guess its true.

So what is up with this. The big three go to washington for a bail-out and GM went and put a V-8 in their Colorado. They probably could only do that since the Volt will offset their fleet EPA emissions.

Not saying that its a bad thing. But at least some company decieded to take the next step. Now come on Ford, take the plate. We pray for it every day.

I thought the 2nd gen S10s (like what...95-2002?) were essentially Isuzu Hobres...in any case they're pretty much the same thing. I am probably wrong about this though.

I am a little buzzed and like I said before...don't know anything about GM stuff so don't pay attention to me
