Good morning, I searched the forums but could not find what I need ?? My name is Bill and is first time posting .. I bought a project 99 ranger 4x4 auto. ext cab 126 in wheel base that originally was a 3.0 then the p.o . converted to a 351 auto . When I bought it the 351 was blown up ,disassembled and basically non useable. I found a donor 1996 explorer 5.0 awd with a good drivetrain but a rust machine lol perfect for my needs. I installed entire drivetrain from the 96 explorer donor vehicle after doing a water pump ,timing chain rear main seal all gaskets and used the cast iron manifolds from a 98 explorer and completed install .. I did switch over to a one line fuel rail l system that came with the truck but this is now my issue the truck runs and drives (yard drive } did a fuel pressure test from schradder valve on fuel rail and I have a reading over 100 lbs I know it is to much ..the only thing i found regarding this is I need a fuel pressure regulator from an explorer pump?? Does that mean I need to install an explorer pump or add a regulator somewhere down the fuel line?? I had to get rid of the donor vehicle not sure how to correct this problem It does run fairly decent even though I know the fuel is an issue cant take it in the street right now but it defiantly smells rich when running and idle is searching ?? I have gotten a lot of info from this site so I am hoping some one has the correct answer I would really like to get my project completed and road worthy thanks in advance , Bill
