usb wireless

I'll look into it. I realize the data transfer speeds are very fast with USB, but from what I have heard other companies using other modems experience this same phenomena. Ill look up our modems and post what I find.

Edit: We are using the RCA DCM425 modems, 2.0 Certified. My brother works for Comcast in Everette, and they use the Motorola Surfboard modems. They also have the same problems the we are experiencing. So I do not think that is related soley to the modems.

I've never had a problem with my usb wireless.I've can get 56 mb/s in good time with an ok connection which is all that my modem offers in wireless.

we have cable internet that is already hooked up to a router. I mainly want the internet because my harddrive recently crashed and I need to reinstall all my cds onto itunes. I dont want to type in every damn song. But it would also be nice to surf the net.
