When I took my truck in for alignment they told me that I need to replace the ball joints on 05 Ranger 4x4. When I do the upper should I just do the ball joint or replace the control arm assembly which has the new ball joint already in it. I'm not worried about the cost difference but just wanting to make sure that I do it right the first time. Thanks for any help.

You replace the UCA.
The stock ball joint is not replaceable.

Try RockAuto.com for pricing.

Ditch the stock bolts and put eccentric adjusters in their place.
