I recently acquired a HP DV9008NR laptop with a bad screen, Replaced the screen, upgraded to 2Gb of ram and added a 500Gb hard drive. It has an AMD Turion 64 x2 1.6Ghz processor in it. Would this machine be compatible with a faster processor or would it not be worth it to upgrade?
 
Look up the spec of the board and see what the board is rated for or give me the serie number and i can do it for you...
