Hi yall!
I am looking at adding stuff to my Rangers Engine and was wondering if yall could give me some advice on what to do! I want to maximize my Engine for 4x4 and a little highway, but mostly 4x4 (mostly mudding, there is no hills here in New Mexico where i am at. Everything is stock that i know of, i bought it used.

The 4.0 engine is amazing without any mods at all.

Stay away from the K&N cold air intake/filter kits. The trucks Stock air filter is a cold air intake/filter. Unless of course you just want to change how it sounds.

A good tune up is your best bang for buck upgrade on the 4.0 seriously. After that if you are looking for more launch power Change the gear ratio and put in a locker or limited slip at the same time. A locker or limited slip makes for much better launching power then you might expect.

Just remember though since you have a 4x4. You have to change the ratio in the rear AND the front diff to the same ratio. Or you will break something rather quickly while using the 4x4.
