Upgrade clutch for 2.8 4x4 5 speed?

I have been reading TRS forums and tech info for a few years now and just decided to join. I have an '85 BR II that has had everything removed from the engine bay except motor. I am currently installing a NOS ford single point distributor with a Jacobs Omni Pack Ignition. Also I just ordered an NOS Weber 32/36 which will be installed next week. My problem is that the clutch has always been a problem. Not much grab. Installed a new pressure plate, disc, bearing when the motor was rebuilt about 5K ago. (By the way it has a mild cam, .030 over bore, pistons, rings, bearings, timing gear, oil pump and valve job and Eldebrock Headers)

So if anyone out there has some suggestions, I'd like to know if there is a swap available or other parts or upgrades that can be made to my stock 5 speed tranny clutch situation? Thanks

I guess I'd like to know if the pre 1998 4.0 clutch swap will work with a 1985 2.8? Thanks
