I have found that my 2004 Nissan Maxima SE is a cast iron bitch to work on and after taking a weekend to change the fornicating belts (no room whatsoever to work and adjust the bolts for the tensioners) I decided that it might be time to move on...the Wife spotted a great deal on a 2010 Buick Lucerne CX so I took a look at it. Liked the car, the deal was great, I bought it.

So here it is: 2010 Buick Lucerne CX
56,600 miles on it
white with tan leather interior (the color of the interior and car are kind of meh, but it is nearly flawless)
it has backup radar to tell you when you are about to hit something
remote start
3 months of On Star
auto adjusting day night mirror
heated leather seats
a true bench seat up front with the center folding down for a console/ armrest if you aren't cramming some tiny person in the middle It is like driving on a couch
3.9 Liter v6
dual climate control
enough room to put a few bodies in the trunk
The dealer put brand new tires, brand new back brakes including rotors, and a new water pump and belt
one thing that I have noticed is that it only has One (1) Uno 12 volt aux power outlet... really, buick? my 94 Olds 88 had 4... Maybe I am missing the others. I checked the console (both upper and lower)

Soo.. If someone wants to buy a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE, I can hook them up. runs great, interior is fantastic, nearly new tires, new belts and adjuster/ idler let me know

And enough flapping my jaws/ keyboard... here are the pics:

Great score. Gots to keep the Wife happy!

Yes, nice looking car...

My 2007 Dodge Caravan has about 20 power outlets...no kidding...they are everywhere...even has one INSIDE the center console way down and out of site...I can't believe how many power outlets this thing has...

But...enough about me...lol

My Dad only wanted Buicks after being a Ford man most of his life...diesel Buicks...

It also doesn't hurt to ride in a little comfort on occasion. Good for back and butt.

yep, it definitely is a comfortable car. The wife even likes it (she *hated* the Maxima) and usually if the weather is bad she would drive the Maxima because it was front wheel drive. Her Charger sucks in snow and ice.

The Lucern is a nice car, but I'm not sure you will like working on it any more than you did the Nissan.

Chevy has this way of routing belts in their FWD applications so that an engine mount has to be removed to replace the belt. I know the 3.1 and 3.8 cars were like that, I am not sure about the 3.9.

I was concerned for just that reason. Looks like the belt is routed in a "U" around the motor mount. And if I am wrong, there is enough room for me to get my hands *and* a wrench in there to remove it. On the fornicating Maxima I had at most 1.5 inches between the engine/ pulleys and the inner fender rail. Some places only an inch.

The 1988 and 1994 Olds Eighty-eight that I had with the Series I 3800 did not have a motor mount that the belt went around. My buddies 1995 Park Ave with the Series II 3800 did have the mount in the way.

I don't remember if my 96 Monte Carlo had the issue or not, but the ex's 94 Grand Prix did not
