i had a thread saying i was going to sell my truck and get a ricer....

but come to find out, i owe 8,000 on the truck.

so i came to a decision

GONNA LOWER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ideas on things to do to it? i want the 1996 cobra 17 inch rims...just gotta save up for them

Good. I doubt you'd have been too happy in a civic anyway.

4/5, 17's with some 245/45 and you'll be good!

i dont understand the whole 2/3 or 4/5 thing explain for me?

Thank god you're not gonna joint the dark side!!!!

Just keep your truck so you can still haul stuff with it, besides a$$!

I'd say.... FRONT 2-inch =dropped coil springs, lowered shock absorbers
and a REAR 3-inch =hangers and shackles, lowered shock absorbers

I'm guessing he would need to cNotch the frame for a 4/5 drop??? idk though...

Heres Caspers 2/3 shot 17" Cobra's 245/45/17 tire (RPS) lol

But of course a 4/5 would be better if you can afford it!!

2/3 or 4/5 tells you the amount of drop in the front/back

I love Casper's truck

scott,
didnt you just put a body lift on that thing?

I forgot about that. I think he was about to buy a body lift for it. He did put lift it a small amount not too long ago i think.

could i make his year body lift work with my '99?

I was thinking about doing the cheep 1" body lift (buy the blocks and just get longer bolts)

05 BL might work with a 99.

And yeah, for a 4/5 drop on a ranger I think you'd pretty much have to C-notch it.

for body lifts..it depends on what set you buy.... I got the Summit Racing set which is called for 98-00 but it actually works 98-current..... The PA has 2 different sets (98-00/01-08). So you gotta find out what BL it is before you buy a 05' BL.

and for 1"BL, just need 1/2 washers and for bolts...!!using stock bushings!!DONT cut!!
(2) 12x1.75x90mm
(2) 12x1.75x110mm
(6) 12x1.75x130mm
(2) 12x1.75x150mm
plus the blocks, which I thought TRS sold 1" block before...no brackets needed though.

heres a awsome write-up on BL's.

with a 4/5 you don't have to C notch it. You'll bottom out on really big bumps.
