94, 3.0, auto, two piece drive shaft.

Have removed drive shafts and am trying to pushout the universals. Several are really stuck. Have been shooting them with PB blast. I have a vise and have tried using that to push them out but not a lot of luck.

Any tricks or suggestions would be appreciated.

You don't use the vice as a press, you use it as a rest.

Set one side of the joint on the vice and hit the opposite side of the yoke with a BFH. This video kinds shows how it works but the joints seem to just fall off, generally the beating required is much more severe.

Ford calls that "applying sufficient force".

usual method for me is to sneak a cutoff wheel in between yolks and cut the u joint apart.

Wear your PPE. Cutoff wheel coming apart inside a driveshaft yolk SUCKS.

+1 on the BFH(big f*ing hammer)

I take out the c-clips and then put drive shaft on concrete or any not moveable surface, then whack it so lower cap moves out to end then reverse it and get the other cap to move
THEN you can often press it out or continue whacking with larger socket under drive shaft so cap can come out

Thanks. I did get all of the universals out.
Now.....
What size is the bolt on the short section that holds the yoke on?

I found these on amazon. I've used a kit similar to the first picture in the past.
