U-joint has left the chat…

That would be more capable then the expedition. I dont see siggys on mobile lol.
Yeah, reg cab 8’ box, but the heavy suspension gave it a height boost and I added a lunchbox locker in the rear. With good tires, it goes surprisingly well. Think it’s been stuck a total of three times, once when I first got it because the auto hubs didn’t work and the tires sucked, once when I didn’t lift the plow fast enough stacking a pile and the plow got buried along with my hood, facing downhill on hard pack snow with no weight in the bed, and once when I blew a U-joint and had the bright idea of being down in my yard with a load in the bed and the big trailer on the back trying to go uphill…

It definitely works on some I phones.

Do you have it set to not rotate the screen when you turn the phone sideways?

No. It just doesn't show all the stuff I'm told it's is supposed to show. It is an iPhone 6S, that that may be why. It's paid for and replacing batteries is better than buying a new phone. So, I'm keeping it until something happens that can't be fixed.

I have an Iphone 7 seems to work fine. I know apple has discontinued updates on the 6, maybe that has something to do with it.

Yep. Running into issues where apps no longer working either since they design the apps for the newer stuff and disable the older stuff from continuing to work.

It sounds like a you or your settings problem. All the iPhones I’ve had work like that.

Oh, it is quite possible it's me or something in the settings. I'm not quite a butter knife when it come to electronics but I'm also no where close to being a Ginsu either.

Well, back on the original topic…

Dad took me over to the one family friend and I checked under a good 15+ F-series trucks he has around my vintage and not a one has a match to my driveshaft. The ones with the same style transfer case are 4-speeds and 3” longer than mine. The rest all have a different transfer case and a slip-joint driveshaft rather than a slip joint at the case…

Which makes me wonder just what the heck is going on here. The driveshaft and T-case are original to the best of my knowledge. The transmission was changed from an M5OD to a ZF5 but the t-case and driveshaft stayed in that swap…

Yours is regular cab right?

Try finding a ext cab/8ft bed. Should have a 2 piece shaft, assuming splines are the same the carrier bearing to axle shaft might work

Yep, regular cab. I was looking under everything yesterday. I was half inclined to want to see if I can change the transfer case to something that seems to have a more common, I know the transfer case should bolt to the transmission, but I don’t know if it will get me to the right length (whether the transmissions would be the same length), but it should because the one truck I checked was a 5-speed and about the same year. Still seems excessive to change a transfer case and driveshaft

What driveshaft did you use orginally? Assuming from a 1 ton?

My F-150 was supposed to be entirely stock with 69k on it when I got it. Only things not original was the transfer case shifter (guy said it seized up on him the previous winter) and the rear gas tank.

I replaced a number of things since then, but the rear driveshaft I don’t believe ever has been changed. Had to replace the driveshaft to rear axle yoke, but that was it (another U-joint failure). I did replace the transmission from M5OD to ZF5, but I never gave any of it a thought, shoved the transmission in and the transfer case and lever fit up just right and the driveshafts fit so I saw no reason to change any of that.
