u bolts dont reach now?

just swapped in a 8.8 the new ubolts I have are a bit to short(they reach but dont go completely through the nuts) Im using fr34 leafsprings from skyjacker and stock blocks here is my question

Can I use different shackles and remove the stock blocks? I figure that might provide a little more flex and give my ubolts enough length.

Ive got a set of those plate style extended shackles that I got for free. Are they garbage, should I get some that are boxed?

I'm running these shackles on my Full-size. I picked them up on ebay several years ago for the Ranger. They worked well on the Ranger, my rear suspension had all sorts of travel.

you say you already have extended shackles. did you mean youve already got them on the truck? if so and you replace them with the belltechs that johnny posted, you will be at the same height you are now (less when you remove the block).

no, littlebigfoot gave me a set of them but they are not on the truck. I have some blocks that are about 1/2" shorter than the ones on the truck that I will try. and probably eventually get the belltech shackles if they will flex better
