My son's 2004 Ranger (2 door 2wd) started filling up with water during an all day rain yesterday. I got it drained out just fine. I assume it's the window seal as there was no water inside the truck I could find, carpets were dry and nothing on the inside of the door or glass had any wet spots. I am curious if there is anything else I should look for or just try to get new window seals? Also is replacement pretty straight forward? If not I have a buddy who does auto glass, I might have him do it for me just to make sure its done right.

Probably have blocked drain holes in the bottom. Need to take inner panel off and clean real good down in the bottom of the door so it can drain.

contrary to popular belief, vehicle doors are not water tight nor are they made to be, hence the drain holes at the bottom, take a zip tie and clean them out and you should be good to go

Thanks for the replies. I was not aware of that. I opened the door last night and popped the little plastic cover off the drain and all the water did drain out. I didn’t realize that cover was supposed to allow it to drain out.

those covers are usually one of the main causes of water retention in the door, i would just pitch them
