why type of tranny fluid do you use in the tranny it`s a mitsubishi fm145 i believe ,i`ve heard different things,i was told dextron w/mercron3 and someone else said 80w gear lube i`m putting a new tranny in and dont want to use the wrong stuff, also how about the transfer case? any help would be appreciated!

thanx

Actually, the factory specifies 75W-80, but just about anything close will work fine. There aren't any tight tolerances in a transmission, unlike a crankcase.

Use a GL-4, NOT GL-5 (hypoid), gear oil. Transmissions are not the same as differentials, due to the synchronizers.
