Type 'A' trans fluid

Finally sold the old Thunderbird Roadster w/ Cruise-O-Matic trans after 30 years, just too much 'stuff' around. Now got about 4 gallons of type 'A' trans fluid accumulated. Anyone know of a use for it? NASA engineer acquaintance says it's just hydraulic fluid with red coloring (he's not a chemical engineer).

Make your own 50/50 mix of penetrating fluid from it, but be careful of what type of plastic bottle you use, as it may melt through certain plastics..
