Try'n real hard to watch T.G.G. but just got plane fed up!

In addition to all the product pedaling on the show,

putting up with all the usual commercials, one half of the

show I just deleted from my TeVo was a Z-MAX

infomercial...:thefinger:

I'm just not going to bother with this "product whore

show" any more.:bsflag:

two gays in a garage. those guys are wanna be mechanics, all they are capable is bolting on parts to non-rusty cars. who CANT do that?

LOL, that's 99.999% of those lame car and truck shows. And it always takes them about 10 minutes to do the whole job!

CarlosMurphy, I totally agree....Nothin but parts whores for the manufacturers!!!

I think the WORSE truck show is Truck Universe on the speed channel. Very very lame. The little guy was freaking obnoxious! It was obviously produced by a company just wanting to get in on the booming truck craze and new truck programs in order to make a buck.

The hosts obviously aren't mechanics. They're TV hosts who need to stick to reporting events and not trying to tell people how to work on their rigs. At least SPIKE has guys on their shows who are knowledgeable about working on vehicles and not posers 'hosting' a show.

The people on this site could produce a better show.

Reminds me, anyone notice the increase of videos on the net? Look at these links:

What you're seeing mostly is commercial promotions.

There's no reason why people here couldn't produce Ranger technical videos and put them on a page like the cheesy Ranger ad I made for the sites main page. That video player is much bigger, I edited the size down.

Imagine a video program of building a Ranger t-case doubler instead of a write up? You'd have to skip through hitting on the main facts like they do on extreme4x4. Having written this, someone will probably steal the idea for another site.

When you go there I have (2) videos loaded. The first will play and then the second automatically. You can produce a show there uploading all the videos in order so that when a guest arrives they play a whole program for them. You could produce a whole tech show there for nothing.

I doubt the "Two Guys" even do the work. They probably just do enough to illustrate things and then let actual techs do the rest. That's what commercial breaks are for.

Too bad their 'off-road' looks like my 2wd on-road. :) They could do alot better promoting it's off-road ability and ride quality.

I made that video.

I went on the Ford media site and downloaded some video of the 2008 and put them together with the captions and then added the slamming Ford logo to the end of it. I know it's lame, but it's all the video they had to work with. They didn't have any Ranger commercials on line.

SPIKE definatley has knowlegable host compared to Speed channel, I preffered Stacey David on TRUCKS vs the new guys.

I gotta laugh at Extreme 4X4. On the "Resurrection Ranger" project they build the roll cage in the cab and you can see it's not square. The right dash bar isn't symetrical with the left. You never see Ian use a tape measure and it shows. They take the truck out for testing and rip the whole front axle out then blame it on a grade 5 bolt. Looks more like bad engineering to me. Todays show he said a dana 300 has 2 to 1 low range when it's actually 2.62 if I remember correctly.

Jim that would be really cool. Video tech articles. They could maybe even be included tech articles. I will admit, the tech articles are pretty good, but there are some times where i wish i could just see what they mean here.

Maybe when i do my build up, I'll see if i can video some of it.

I like the idea of video tech articles. That would be pretty cool. As far as car shows, I'm a big fan of Lou Santiago on MuscleCar (Spike). He does some pretty cool stuff and actually gives you some useful info.

Yeah, Lou definitely doesn't speak all that well....but I'd rather listen to him than that weasely little dude on Trucks!:buttkick: Damn I can't stand him!

i cant stand listening to stacey david, he drives me up the wall...but i think i actually learn something from him now and then.....vs never with any other one, but that chick on extreme 4x4's is hot...and she can weld!
