I just bought a 2010 Ranger 2.3 and noticed it has an engine driven fan and an electric fan? Any one know about this?

the e-fan is probably for when the ac is on

My 2008 has the belt driven and electric fans and when I turn the ac on or the defrost, the electric fan kicks on.

Defrost turns the compressor on...

Why would it look unusual...It is perfectly normal in most modern cars.

I haven't seen one with a belt driven and electric fan yet.

But yeah, the 2.3L with A/C has an electric auxiliary fan for when the A/C is running. I had to go look that one up.
