So i am starting with my stock 89 Ranger, 2.9l v6 supercab.
It is my daily driver so while I am building it so that I can run trails and have fun it sort of has to stay practical.

so far I have bought skyjacker leveling coils, new shocks, and add a leafs new
and found at garage sales or craigslist a roll/ light bar, cb radio and antenna, skid plates, tow hooks, a new stereo and lights.

part of my " to do" pile

my goal is to get it all together as soon as i can while balancing work and school. once its all together I will prolly throw on the biggest tires i can find on craigslist that fit.

And once i get more money warn manual hubs and a lock right for the rear are in order

here is how it sits now on cl mall terrains

So I started by doing the leveling coils and new shocks
took two days cause I was delayed by work and having to borrow a coil spring compressor from napa

with everything off ( taking off the old coils was a b!tch untill i realized that taking off the brake caliper allowed me to lower the axle enough to actually take the spring off)

wasnt sure if i wanted to take the sway bars off or not so i drove around with em tied up.

After dryving without the sway bars i decided since i drive bout 50 miles every time i go to school i should reattach them

You can make quick disconnects for the sway bar in about ten minutes for a very minimal amount of money. Best of both worlds.

My neighbor was telling me about that, I think thats what i was gonna do.

Twitch your truck is looking great!

My 1992 has the same flat pink paint :P

Well i dunno if you guys are bored of a low budget poor college kid build but the build thread helps me pretend im accomplishing something

back springs are in and the back sits at about 2 maybe three inches higher than before, but the front only about an inch, which is kind of annoying

new suspension is amazing- makes 4 wheeling a lot more fun, alot less cringing from weird noises and bumps

the tow points dont line up w holes on the frame so ill have to either bastardarize them on their or get real ones

the cb radio and 10 buck halogins are on - both of which are great
the roll bar doesnt line up w the frame so it would only be for show so im sticking w the lock box
i lost a tire on the mojave trail but I am putting 30s on soon once i get them all collected

as it sits now

i cant wait to see it on 30s

to do
- removable pins for the sway bar
- bastardarize skid plate and tow points

then magically find money for the these:
- manual hubs
- rear locker
