Wanna really wake up that tweeter, build your own crossover. My Polk DX3000 is a great tweeter, but Polk, (like all speaker manufacturers) skimp on the crossover.

The pillar is a bad place. Too much separation between the tweeter and the main speakers. Makes for an awful sound stage.

im no that good with electronics to build my own crossover i havent seen them put there does it really make that much of a sound difference and how much are those tweeters

It brings the highs closer to your head level where they are supposed to be.

the only drilling you'd have to do is 2 little screw holes to mount them on. I did it in my saab and you dont even realize they are there unless I point them out.

look for a 1" that suits your needs. Vifa, peerless, and aurasound are pretty good brands. Good luck with the cross-over personally i would have gone with a component system and used theirs.

Also I strongly discourage putting the tweeter in the A pillar unless you can also put your midrange there, too. Otherwise, as pointed out by RangerSVO, the distance between the drivers is TOO FAR apart!
