It brings the highs closer to your head level where they are supposed to be.Might as well put my 3-cents worth in. Get over the hole thing

Wanna really wake up that tweeter, build your own crossover. My Polk DX3000 is a great tweeter, but Polk, (like all speaker manufacturers) skimp on the crossover.

The pillar is a bad place. Too much separation between the tweeter and the main speakers. Makes for an awful sound stage.

yeah thats what i was thinking which is why i wanted them on the a pillars i just need to find some good cheap ones i dont want to spend 100 bucks for kenwood tweeters or 160 for kickers

look for a 1" that suits your needs. Vifa, peerless, and aurasound are pretty good brands. Good luck with the cross-over personally i would have gone with a component system and used theirs.

Also I strongly discourage putting the tweeter in the A pillar unless you can also put your midrange there, too. Otherwise, as pointed out by RangerSVO, the distance between the drivers is TOO FAR apart!
