TV cable corrector

has anyone had any experience with putting a TV cable corrector on a 2150 carb that is set up for manual transmission. the problem is the carb does not have a provision for the TV cable, edelbrocks and holleys have an adapter, but I'm not seeing one for the ford. I am trying to avoid buying a new 2150 simply because later down the line I'll put a 4bbl intake and a carb on.
